Adesola “Shola” Adelekan

Lead Electronics Engineer

Shola handles all our electronics hardware designs from the concept stage to detailed Electronics Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) schematic and board design. He develops and tests experimental circuits for research and development projects; prototyping, refining and integrating them into complete system designs. As products move from design to production Shola helps develop testing protocols to ensure that finished electronics are fully functional and operate within expected parameters. He has shepherded multiple products through the UL and Intrinsically Safe design, documentation and testing process. He holds a masters degree and a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.

 

Walter Caro

Software Architect

Walter designs and implements custom embedded and client-side software. He coordinates with our other software engineers and works with our hardware electronics team to implement a combined hardware and software system that works as one. His areas of expertise include Ultra-Low Power Software Design, Digital Signal Processing, Real-Time Controls and Visualization of Complex Data. He holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.

 

Christina Hanna

Office Manager

Christina handles all of the finances and administrative duties at Indus Instruments. Her methodical approach to work insures that packages will be promptly shipped and customer’s concerns will be quickly addressed. She also answers the phones and is the first voice you will likely hear when calling us. She is finishing a bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.

 

Sridhar Madala

Founder, President and Principal Researcher

Sridhar holds a doctoral degree (1988) and a Masters degree (1985) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Rice University, and a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras (1982). He was the V.P. of Engineering from 1988 to 1990, and the President from 1990 to 1992, at Coherent Systems, a Houston based medical device start-up that developed one of the earliest computerized electrophysiology recording and analysis devices. He founded Indus Instruments in 1992 and has been its President since then and lead numerous research and development projects.

 

Graham Sattler

Marketing & Product Development Manager

Graham heads up our marketing efforts and handles our internal product development. He is involved in every mechanical design we do from concept to pilot production. Understanding our user’s requirements is very important to us and he works on extracting user requirements, developing concepts, building prototypes, creating detailed models and refining designs for manufacture. He has brought Mechanical Computer-Aided-Design (MCAD), Mechanical Computer-Aided-Manufacturing (MCAM), Rapid Prototyping, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Milling and Mechanical Design for Manufacture to our portfolio of in-house capabilities since coming onboard. He has taken coursework in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is finishing a bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston.

 

Juan Tovar

Manufacturing Manager

Juan oversees all of our manufacturing & procurement efforts. He has brought a wealth of manufacturing knowledge and experience with him from his previous employers. At Space Systems/Loral he worked on communications satellites, and at Kestrel Solutions he worked on long haul fiber optics systems. His work at Picarro was with their Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy technology. He assisted with the transition from device design to production at Diagnostic Systems Laboratory and headed up production of a 96 well microplate luminometer. While at Positron he headed up the procurement and manufacturing of PET scanners systems. He holds a associates degree in Electronics from DeVry University.
