| TAIL ARTERY FLOW VELOCITY SPECTROGRAM OF A MOUSE | ||||
| A 20 MHz pulsed Doppler probe is positioned on the tail & pointed towards the head with an angle of about 15*-20* to the horizontal and ranged at 2 mm to sample the flow velocity in the tail artery. This signal is used in noninvasive blood pressure measurements using the tail cuff method. The cuff is pressurized and the flow velocity in the tail is measured either with a 20 MHz probe or an epoxy cuff placed over the tail artery. | ||||
